Listening Room is a focused aural event where four presenters share music and/or sound recordings from their collection in a controlled high quality sound environment to a group of astute listeners. The possibilities of a private intimate experience within a public environment allows one to be present in the moment, uninterrupted.
Hampton Fancher born in east LA in 1938 became a dancer, an actor, a writer, director, still trying to figure it out- lives in Brooklyn.
Peter Murray is a multi-disciplinary musician and producer born in San Francisco. He has performed throughout North America and in Europe. He is the founder of Pour Le Sport Recording Co., a studio and record label. He currently lives and works in Brooklyn, New York.
Ohal Grietzer is a New York-based artist and composer working in sound and video.
Justin Luke is the owner of Audio Visual Arts (AVA). Founded in 2008 and based in New York City, the gallery exhibits emerging and established artists and musicians. While AVA presents a range of work, the core interest is in a more adventurous and conceptual approach to sound. AVA also produces artists editions, participates in international exhibitions and art fairs, and hosts the monthly audio series Exterior Sounds.
